Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard was crying this past Thursday, and it wasn't because of some "One Tree Hill" style fling with a girl **cough** like most of his lyrics. Gibbard was stung by a scorpian twice backstage before a concert. Seriously, you couldnt make this stuff up.... in fact, its just one of the many strange happenings that actually frequent rock musicians and concerts. According to the
blog post, it was suspected that Gibbard may actually develop "scorpey" powers. It does seem that the mild mannered character may fit. Despite worries because the scorpion was small (small=deadly when it comes to those critters), Gibbard went on to play the show.
AHHHHH!!!! Scorpian Senses.... TINGGLING!!
