So I heard a great song today.... wanna guess where? No, it wasn't the radio (heck no!), iTunes, last.fm, or even youtube, it was from a game application on my iPod touch. There was a time not so long ago that this would seem totally foreign but in a day and age where new artists are signed from webcam covers and major artists let you decide how much their music is worth, it's almost believable. The song is an almost techno remix of Feel Good Drag by Anberlin, so yes, I have heard the song before, but I like this remix.... like really, I do. To me, Stephen Christian's almost angry vocals on top of the simpler synth beat almost says more than the regular "heavy" song... especially at the bridge and the end.
I do believe that as more and more issues crop up with the "normal" way of doing music, that we will see more things coming from out of the blue... like finding music randomly in an iPhone app. It wouldn't surprise me if some artists even released an "exclusive" app that allowed fans to read news, play audio clips, view video podcasts, etc.
View Feel Good Drag from "Tap Tap Revenge" on youtube
and I'm trying to link to a download. (if anyone knows of a good "put file" site, let me know)
BTW: I would try to explain what "Tap Tap Revenge" is, but it is unexplainable, so here is a video that shows it... (think Dance Dance Revolution for iPhone)
