We have the most solid proof yet that Chinese Democracy might actually be released this century. According to several sources, including trusty Billboard.com, the album will be released exclusively to Best Buy on November 23rd. All of this follows almost 15 years of drama that involves everyone from the feds to Nine Inch Nails to Kurt Cobain to the Offspring. Maybe that is the whole point? to make fans so rabid they will be bound by some unearthly force to go buy the album the first day it comes out? Too bad it has already been leaked, though it has been in bits and pieces. Here is part of a respected leak, though I'm sure there were major changes between this and the upcoming album. BEWARE: some federal flunkie is sitting at his desk right now just waiting for the next person to try to download this album. Other parts of the album have been legally heard on Rock Band 2 and the movie Body of Lies. It is also worth noting that everyone has ditched Axl Rose, supposedly for his domineering influence on the band (according to Slash in his autobiography). Only time will tell if the 17 year wait in production hell for new material will be worth it.
