Barker
First off, former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and associate DJ AM were involved in a Learjet crash in Columbia, SC on Friday. Both Barker and DJ Adam sustained several burns. Unfortunately, 4 other passengers, all Californians, were killed in the blaze. It is unsure if the voice recorder off the plane will be of help. The plane skidded off the runway shortly before takeoff.
Spears
Earlier this week, Lynn Spears, mother of pop star Britney Spears stated in an interview on the Today Show that it was her fault her two girls ended up the way they did. Referring to Britney, she said it was a bad decision to introduce a 15 year old to the world. Lynn stated that Britney lost a piece of her childhood by becoming a star at so young. When asked, she said that she cried when her other daughter, Jamie Lynn, announced recently she was pregnant. Lynn stated, "I was in shock. I think I was just truly in shock, and then I started to cry. And she started consoling me at that point." Jamie Lynn gave birth to a girl in June and is raising the baby with her boyfriend in their Mississippi home. Her mother is releasing a memoir, "Through the Storm" this week.
Love
Former wife of Kurt Cobain, Courtney Love, must be having a really good month, which usually means the rest of the world has a bad one. Love has been on the spotlight for several outbursts the past few weeks. First was her re-emergence of blogging, after she "swore it off".
Her main target err... topic? The VMA's.

This line was by far the most coherent in the blog. About two sentences later, she began to rag on the purity rings worn by the Jonas Brothers, an uncalled for rant since the Jonas' don't need rings to show they're not getting laid. Less than two weeks later, Frances Bean Cobain (Kurt and Love's daughter) turned 16. The soiree featured music, dancing, and was suicide themed down to the "who looks dead the most" contest. The party cost in excess of $300,000. No word yet if the party coordinator does heroin or alcohol poisoning themed bar mitzvahs.
